Nadda,Tarun Vijay among 100 people arrested | VHP continues amaranth movement | | early times report JAMMU, June 4: On The Second day of VHP's amaranth movement 100 activists were arrested at parade and taken to Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas by police where from they were released in the afternoon led by Mahamandleshwar of Haridwar Swami Nityanand Ji Maharaj. The VHP and Bajrang Dal activists role out a procession in the parade and shouted slogans against the government and the shrine board. Among prominent persons arrested today included BJP national general secretary J.P Nadda, MP Tarun Vijay. Earlier VHP and BD Activists took out a Shav Yatra and torched the effigy of Governor, N.N.Vohra amidst chanting of slogans. Eight BD activists also tonsured their heads on the occasion. Addressing the gathering at Parade, Tarun Vijay termed the Chief Minister and Governor as dictators. He said that they are sabotaging the Amarnath Yatra to release separatists. Urging Hindu Samaj to unite he said the government and the board was taking advantage of our disunity. He said earlier yatra use to run for four months but to please separatists the government has reduced it to 45 days. Later, addressing a press conference Dr. Surinder Jain said that VHP delegation will meet President and seek resignation of Governor who has failed to run yatra from Jesth Purnima. He warned in case President failed to act VHP will launch nationwide agitation. Dr. Jain said that Governor had promised to perform pooja at holy cave on Jesth Purnima today but he failed to keep the word and it is unfortunate that instead of holy cave pooja was performed by Chief Executive Officer R.K.Goel at Chandanwari. He also strongly condemned the arrest of Amarnath Yatris today and said that the Yatris will make another bid to leave for holy cave tomorrow from Parade.
