JAMMU, June 5: World Environment Day was celebrated in the premises of Gandhi Memorial College of Education, Raipur Bantalab, Jammu
The main activities organized on this occasion included, a slogan writing competition on the theme "green economy", followed by a cultural programme highlighting the environmental issues.
Speaking on this occasion general secretary (HESK) AK Raina laid stress on the importance of preserving biodiversity and the need to identify problems related to the environment and ways to take corrective action.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Bindu Verma Principal of GMCEJ, laid emphasize on the importance of protecting our planet from the environmental hazards and highlighting the consequences of it on the future generations to come.
Prizes were distributed among the winners and refreshments were also distributed among the students. |
