2 Pak Rangers killed in retaliatory fire by BSF | | | early times report JAMMU, June 5: Two Pakistani Rangers were today killed in retaliatory fire by BSF in Suchetgarh border area of Samba.Official sources said the Rangers opened fire on Suchetgarh outpost of Samba at about 4 pm, targetting BSF guards. The BSF men, who were guarding the outpost, returned fire, resulting in the death of two Pak Rangers, the sources added. The exchange of fire between the two sides continued for about 15 minutes. There was, however, no casualty on the Indian side. When contacted, BSF DIG, Jammu frontier, J S Oberoi denied the incident of firing between the two sides. "No such incident has taken place at Suchetgarh," he added. Sources, however, maintained that eyewitnesses saw to Rangers falling on the ground after they were hit by BSF bullets. This was the third incident of ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Samba sector in the last fortnight. Last week, a BSF jawan was killed in the unprovoked Pak firing at Chaliyari, Samba. |
