| Peerzada visits Padroo’s residence, assures family all help | | |
Anantnag, January 31 Minister for Education, Hajj and Auqaf, Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed visited the residence of late Abdul Rehman Padroo at Larnoo, Breng today. Conveying sympathies to the bereaved, the minister said those responsible for the incident would not be spared and law would take its own course. He said investigation is on and factual report would come to light soon. He said government is committed to respect the human rights of all its citizens. He said we are in the government to protect the life and property of people and added that nobody will be allowed to take law into his own hands and harm the lives of innocent people. Peerzada maintained that strict instructions have been given to the law enforcing agencies to ensure that no violation of human rights should be caused to the people of the state in any circumstances. He assured all possible help from the government to the affected family. The minister also visited the residence of Nazir Ahmad Deka at Desuu Daksum who is missing for past several months. He assured that a massive hunt has been launched to trace him out. A number of deputations also met the minister and apprised him of their problems. On the occasion, the Minister announced Rs. 50,000 out of his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for installation of transformer at Ratherpora, Sagam and Desuu. District Development Commissioner and SSP Anantnag accompanied the minister. |
