| DC reviews land acquisition under Northern railways | | | Early Times Report
RAMBAN, June 5: A meeting regarding the land acquisition process of Northern Railways was held under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC), Ramban, Shabir Ahmad Bhat, here today.
The meeting was attended by Addl. Deputy Commissioner, Ramban B.A. Khan, Deputy Chief Engineer, Northern Railways, Banihal, Deputy Chief Engineer, Northern Railways, Sangaldan and Officers of the construction companies.
All the cases pertaining to land acquisition of both Banihal and Sangaldan sections were reviewed in the meeting. It was said that, out of 144 cases, 115 cases have been settled so far and out of these settled cases, 101 cases of mutation have been attested so far, and the total amount disbursed so far is about 68. 00 crore among the land owners. For rest of the cases time frame was chalked out and the concerned companies have been asked to finalize the damage cases pending with them by the end of June 2012. It was further decided to accelerate the land acquisition process and settlement of damage cases besides monthly review meeting shall be conducted on monthly basis. In another meeting, the DC took the meeting of the concerned departments to discuss and finalize the Action Plan 2012-13 under ATMA. After detailed interaction, the Action Plan amounting Rs.74.71 lakh was approved/ finalized for implementation of various schemes viz. developing of SREP, organizing of demonstration/training for farmers, capacity building, farm information dissemination, Agriculture Refinement Validation and Adoption etc.
The meeting was attended by Ram Rattan, Chief Planning Officer, Ramban, Chief Agriculture Officer, Ramban (Project Director ATMA), Chief Horticulture Officer, Ramban, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Ramban and other associated District/ Sectoral Officers. |
