JKDF questions objective of BJP study group | | | Early Times Report
Jammu , June 6: Surinder Sharma Senior Core Committee member JKDF termed the move of sending BJP study group to J&K an eye wash as the party has failed to handle major issues of corruptions within it and inorder to divert the people's attention, thus have appeared on the scene to further complicate the things in this politically sensitive State. The appointment of the Study Group is itself controversial as the fact remains that legally and constitutionally J&K is an integral part of India. But the problem has been New Delhi, which has never given the people of this State a chance to set right the things themselves. In this regard, Surinder Sharma recalled that in wake of 1975 Sheikh -Indra Accord, the Chief Minister Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah had entrusted the task of reviewing all these Central Laws to his trusted Deputy Chief Minister and legal luminary, Shri D.D Thakur, who in his lengthy report had established that all these laws were beneficial for the people of Jammu & Kashmir as a whole. Surinder Sharma maintained that the real remedy to all the problems in J&K lies in the free flow of the Indian Constitution to this part of the country by shunning communal considerations and opting for a secular approach enshrined in the Constitution.' BJP at the National level as a responsible opposition should have projected the growing corruption and scams in UPA led Coalition Government effectively but instead it fell into it and indulged in the big scams and scandals. Now to hide its own deeds it has come to Study the situation of J&K only to attract the people's attention as it has at present no agenda to keep the party in headlines of the media. |
