Early Times Report

SRINAGAR, June 6: Time has come when relations between India and Pakistan would improve in the days ahead simply for the fact that Pakistan's Civil Society has realized, in ample measure, that terrorism and violence of all sorts was detrimental to the advancement of mankind and it has explicitly expressed the desire to live in perpetual cordiality with India.
This was stated by Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Prof Saifuddin Soz while addressing a largely attended public meeting at Pinglana, Pulwama today.
Prof Soz said that change in the perception of Pakistan's civil Society was so much discernable that even the Pakistan Army speaks of peace with India as a proposition of progress in the subcontinent.
He assured the gathering that Government of India was positively considering a proposal from Pakistan's Civil Society for adoption of various CBMs between the two countries.
Responding to the local demands in respect of upgradation of dispensary to Primary Health Centre, upgradation of Middle School to a High School and augmentation of drinking water facility, the Congress chief fully assured the gathering that these demands would be certainly met, as early as possible.
On the occasion, Prof Soz announced to release money out of his MP LAD funds for provision of computers to the Higher Secondary School and Girls Middle School, Pinglana.
On his return from Pinglana, Prof Soz and colleagues visited Saffron Growers Stalls at Pampore and congratulated the Saffron Growers for having started their own outlet for supply of pure quality of Saffron and dry fruits at reasonable prices.
Those who accompanied him and spoke on the occasion included MLC Bashir Ahmad Magrey, PCC vice president Abdu Majid Padder, president Mahila Congress and MLA Indu Pawar, General Secretary Mohd Anwar Bhat and others.
