| 76% plan outlay utilized in Baramulla | | | Baramulla, January 31 About Rs. 82.25 crore have been utilized on implementation of various welfare and development schemes in Baramulla district so far this fiscal. This was stated at a review meeting held here today with District Development Commissioner in chair. The meeting took in-depth review of achievements registered in various vital sectors in the district. On the occasion, it was said that 223-km roads have been black topped and 80 metre long culverts constructed. Under NABARD, 40 works have been taken up while Rs. 6 crore have been incurred so far on widening of Narabal-Tangmarg road under Prime Minister’s Reconstruction Programme. Under double shift system, 28 works have been completed and potable drinking water has been provided to 20500 souls of 23 villages during the said period. Under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, 881 construction works have been completed. Reviewing power sector, it was apprised that 617 damaged transformers have been repaired and installed at their respective places. District Development Commissioner called upon the officers to redouble their efforts to achieve the targets within the stipulated time. He said that additional Rs. 1 crore are being released for completing various ongoing works. |
