| BJP accuses ruling party MLAs of patronizing land grabbing in Kishtwar | | | Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, June 6: State Secretary BJP Sunil Sharma in a press statement issued here today alleged that ruling party MLAs are patronizing and have involvement in land grabbing at various places in Kishtwar District.
Sunil Sharma alleged that the officials of District administration Kishtwar felicitated these representatives involved in huge scandals by using terror tactics as a result of which the people of Kishtwar District are gripped under fear.
He said that the land belonging to small peasants as well as state and forest land is being grabbed with the active involvement of District Administration and huge embezzlement of Government money is being done on the name of development.
He said that some revenue officers, ruling MLAs and other influential people are involved in the scams running into corers of rupees and hundreds of kanals of land have been encroached.
Sunil Sharma said that in a glaring example of this scam is a case of land acquisition involving Congress party worker in Chatroo Tehsil.
He said that the said person had taken a loan worth lakhs of rupees from state Finance Corporation to convert his house into a hotel and in the mean time the house was notified for acquisition in connection with road widening process.
He said that by using his political clout in administration the accused succeeded in getting a huge amount as compensation for the said building irrespective of the objection filed by the SFC.
He said that in another glaring example of corruption in District Kishtwar the National Conference District President acquired prime land valuing lakhs of rupees by using all the ill tactics in connivance with the corrupt officers.
The land was acquired by pressurizing its original owner Lala Jia Lal only to serve the vested interest of MLA, Kishtwar, BJP leader added.
BJP demands a thorough probe in all such scandals so that culprits are brought under book. |
