| Young Champions U-17, Cricket Tournament Begins | | | early times report
srinagar, June 6: Director Youth Services & Sports, Jaipal Singh today inaugurated the Young Champions under 17 cricket tournament organized by The Inner Call, Forum for Evolution, Development and Awareness. The tournament being played at Govt. Boys Higher secondary school, Soura shall continue for a fortnight and each match would involve the two sides bowling twelve over's each .This is for a first time that a cosco cricket tournament has been organized for both boys and girls drawn from various schools of Srinagar.
Speaking on the occasion the Director YS&S congratulated all the youngsters and conveyed best wishes of the Minister for Youth Services and Sports R.S. Chib. He appreciated the efforts of The Inner Call in creating awareness about global sports among the youngsters. Roma Wani ,Chairperson ,The Inner Call thanked the director for blessing the children with his presence through the first innings and assured him that The Inner Call will continue to find innovative ways of engaging the youth in a non formal education. The tournament has been powered by J&K Bharat Scouts & Guides and Axis Bank who were represented by Muzaffer Tram-boo and Shabir Ahmad, Azad, Imran Khan, Ali Moha-mmed, Affan Yesvi, Hanan Khan, Obaid, Sameer, Bash-eer Ahmed and Mukhtar Ahmad And are facilitating the tournament.
