| SKUAST-J organises Environment Day | | | early times report
JAMMU, June 6: Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Doda of SKUAST-Jammu organised a programme on Environment Day at GHS, Drudhu of Bhaderwah Block, wherein a large number of students, senior citizens, teachers and members of the panchayat participated. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Sanjay Khajuria. On the occasion, Dr. Amit Jasrotia, incharge RHRSS, Bhaderwah was the special guest while Altaf Rafiqui presided over. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Sanjay Khajuria elaborated in detail about the importance of celebration of environment day with special reference to save the environment from water pollution, scarcity of water, air pollution, noise pollution, deforestation, global warming, etc. On the occasion, a painting competition was organised, where, thirty six participants actively participated and displayed their talent in the charts. In the competition, Preeti Chowhan, Sudhir Charak and Mandeep Manhas stood First, second and third respectively. All these winners were encouraged with gifts by KVK, Doda. After that, a mega quiz competition was organised, where, more than 100 participants actively participated. In this competition various gift items were distributed among the winners for their brilliant performance. |
