CBJ gave warm farewell to Sharmishta Maitra | | | early times report JAMMU, June 7: A warm welcome was given to the C.O of Cantonment Board Jammu (CBJ), Sharmishta Maitra who after after serving three years in Jammu today got replaced by D.S. Khatri. While speaking on the occasion Sharmishta said that Working in Jammu for more than three years was the first experience of her life of working with seven members as earlier she had been working in Nanital Cantonment Board which is very small as compared to Jammu. She further said that all the staff of CBJ has fully supported her unconditionally and has whatsoever she has done is a result of this cooperation of the staff. She also expressed her thanks to all the OS, JE's and store keepers for their cooperation and awesome dedication to their job and also thanked to all the sanity inspectors for doing well. "I can never forget the cooperation given to me by the cantonment staff that too in the tight moments especially for the development and upliftment of the G.B Panth Hospital by working a number of times for complete 24 hours" she added. Also speaking on the occasion vice president CBJ Choudhary Shamsher Singh expressed grief over the transfer of Sharmishta Maitra and said that he has seen the first C.O in his carrier of 12 years who has worked with such enthusiasm and has done a lot of development in a short span of three years. He disclosed that during her small tenure she has spent four crore rupees in all the seven wards for their development and applauded the initiatives taken by her. He assured her that they will carry forward the initiatives which have been taken by her. While the new C.O D.S. Khatri in his address also appreciated her way of working and assured that he will complete all the pending tasks which remain incomplete due to her transfer. He also assured his full cooperation to the staff of CBJ and said that it is impossible for any C.O to work smoothly without having the full cooperation of his staff.
