| SSA scholarship distributed among GMS Patoli Mangotrian students | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 7: Headmistress Government Middle School Patoli Mangotrian , Sudha Kumari today distributed Scholarship cheques, books and school bags among needy students of the institution under Sarav Shiksha Abiyan (SSA) at an impressive function organized in the school premises here today.
Among others, Ex- Corporator of Ward No 39, Mr. Rajinder Singh, staff members, students and prominent citizens of the area were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Headmistress of the School, Mrs Sudha said that government has prioritized education sector and for this purpose several welfare schemes have been launched by the state and centre government with the aim to improve the education standard with upgraded infrastructure in the government schools. She urged upon the parents to send their wards to government schools to avail benefit of getting quality education. She said that government is endeavouring hard to eradicate illiteracy from the state. She asked the teaching fraternity to put in their sincere efforts in providing quality education to the students. She stressed upon them to inculcate moral values in students besides ensuring quality academic education.
Mr. Rajinder Singh lauded the efforts of school management for providing assistance to the students belonging to weaker sections of the society. He urged upon the teachers to impart quality education to the students for their bright future so that they can compete at all levels. He said government institutions have good infrastructure as compared to private schools adding that teachers of government institutions are experienced and well qualified.
