| Young Panthers bats for Karan Singh as Presidential candidate | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 7: State President Young Panthers and MLC Syed Mohd Rafiq Shah today endorsed the resolution adopted in the party's working committee meeting at Sudh Mahadev for urging UPA, NDA and left parties to chose Dr Karan Singh as a common candidate for the ensuing Presidential election.
Speaking to party workers at Srinagar, Shah said that Dr Karan Singh is a symbol of moral values, honesty and India's spiritual power. He is free from any accusation regarding finance, morality and thus stands a cleanest man on the top of the board in the political history of power in 60 years.
He was the only prince who surrendered his 'Privy Purse', joined Indian National Congress which stood for secularism, socialism and democracy.
He claimed that in the conflict-torn world Dr Karan Singh as a President of India can play a leading role to carry India's message of peace, complete disarmament to make the world last longer in peace and dignity of all nations. |
