| Land mafia spreading tentacles in Jammu: USC | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Jun 7: United Sikh Council (USC) J&K today alleged that Jammu region is slowly falling into the grip of land mafia which in connivance with the administration is actively involved in grabbing, encroaching and misusing the social property.
Convener United Sikh Council (USC) J&K, S Kuldeep Singh in a press conference here today expressed grave concern over spreading of this contagious disease which has not spared any space to be used for extra circular activities of modern generation in this regard.
Citing examples of the illegal land encroachment, Singh referred to a such a case in Model Town, Digiana and added that voice against land encroached by the blue' eyed gangster is snubbed while least caring for rule and regulation.
He further added that even then Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah presently, Union Minister had visited the above mentioned Land 2002 and ordered the construction of Public Health Center on this land spread but land mafia doesn't care for this. Convener USC warned the Govt. to invite immediately remedial measures in Model Town Digiana case to maintain peace. Among others present in this media interaction included Kulwant Singh Bhatti Sr. Vice President, S. Ranjit Singh, S. Mohan Singh, S. Manmohan Singh and Parshotam Kumar. |
