Police recruitment rallies are mere eye wash: NPSU | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 7: National Panthers Students Union (NPSU) held a protest demonstration against special recruitment drives conducted by J&K Police authorities a few days back. The protesting NPSU activists alleged that the recruitment rallies are mere eye wash to hoodwink the people of the state. The reality is that the back door entry for the recruitment had already taken place well before the drive commenced, they added. Early morning NPSU activists and the students of GDC Ploura gathered at main gate of the college and raised slogans against the State government. Addressing the media persons Partap Singh Jamwal (Pradesh President NPSU) said that State Goverment is discriminating with the youth of Jammu region. Jamwal also said that the criminal silence of elected representatives of Jammu province raised question mark over their integrity. Jamwal alleged that DGP in a special drive recruited youth all over the State but neglected the Jammu region where he launched the drive only in some of the ministers' preferred areas. Jamwal alleged that in the special recruitment drive the Police Department favoured some blue eyed persons. Jamwal said according to the guidelines issued by the Supreme Court before any recruitment a public notification should be published through various mediums of media. Jamwal demanded a high level inquiry into the recruitment drive conducted by JKP. Meanwhile, a minor clash between police and NPSU activists broke when NPSU activists tried to burn the effigy of Chief Minister.
