| RRB employees to support 'nationwide strike' on June 8 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, June 7: Central Apex Organization i.e. AIRRBEA, coordinating body of National Federation of RRB Officers and National Federation of RRB Employees i.e. rural bank staff has decided to observe one day nationwide strike on June 8 in all the RRBs across the nation in support of their demands
In a meeting held here today the Rural Bank Staff Union members endorsed the proposed strike and highlighted their demands including Parity of Pension, Formation of National Rural Bank of India; Regularization/absorption of Part- Time/Daily Waged workers in RRBs; Withdrawal of Govt. order on HR Policy and Representation of employees in the Board of Management.
In a joint central committee meeting held under the leadership of President RS Billawaria & General Secretary Parbodh Chander, J&K Grameen Bank Officers' Association (JKGBOA) & President Satish Sharma & General Secretary Ranjeet Kapoor, J&K Grameen Bank Employees' Association (JKGBEA), has unanimously decided to observe the All India Strike on June 8, 2012, for resolution of the long pending demands of the RRB staff.
