| Jailer's PSO assaults cop in court premises | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, June 7: Surinder Singh, alias Chotu, the PSO of Former Superintendent of Kot Bhalwal Jail Salim Beig today allegedly assaulted one cop in Jammu High Court premises when he was taken to the hearing of a case here today, sources said.
Police sources said that Surinder Singh, alias Chotu, today assaulted another cop identified as Som Dutt presently posted at Amphalla Jail.
Sources said that Dy Jail Warden has filed a complaint in this regard at Police Station Janipur. Meanwhile sources at Police Station Janipur confirmed that they had received a complaint in this regard but they are verifying the incident but formal case will be registered after through investigation in the alleged assault case.
Pertinent to mention here that after the arrest of former Superintendent of Kot Bhalwal Jail Mirza Salim Baig, police on March 25 this year captured his Personal Security Officer (PSO) alongwith a revolver and Rs 15 lakh from his possession.
He is alleged to have played a crucial role to strike a deal between Nagar Singh and contract killers for the conspiracy to eliminate the witnesses in the Amandeep Singh murder case.
