| Whose welfare is Dean Students welfare doing in JU? | | | early times report
Jammu , June 7: An RTI inquiry has revealed that the official car of the Dean Students welfare, University of Jammu has been overused unauthorizedly by the DSW Prof. NK Tripathi, obviously for purposes other than official and the competent authority has called for an explanation taking cognizance of the complaint.
Sources reveal that an application under RTI was filed in the University of Jammu, seeking information about the official car of the DSW and the mileage it had done. The inquiry by the IPO revealed that the car was actually used for other than official purposes and had thus been misused.
Sources also revealed that DSW Prof. Tripathi, who belongs to the PS Pathania (former Registrar) lobby in the university, has been misusing his official position by enjoying illegitimate hospitality by the various canteen contractors of the university not only for himself but for several others who are known to belong to the same lobby.
Prof. Tripathi, who faced serious allegations in the appointment of an undeserving candidate in the department of human genetics when he headed it, is now reportedly fuelling the ongoing rift between non teaching association of the university and the university administration, thus making things difficult for the Vice Chancellor.
It is pertinent to mention here that Vice chancellor Prof. MP Singh Ishar has inadvertently made things difficult for himself by appointing undeserving officers at key positions , some of whom have been immune to any administrative reshuffles for years despite allegations of serious misconduct against them.
