JCC calls for 'pen down strike' from June13-16

Jammu, June 8: J&K Govt. employees Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) today completed its first phase of campaign in Jammu city for four days starting from June 13-16, in support of the full implementation of the agreement signed in between the State Govt. and JCC Leadership on 15th of September 2011.
In a joint press conference, senior JCC leaders appealed to the State Government employees Teachers and workers to participate the agitation programme ti make it a success.
Speaking to the media persons, senior JCC leaders namely Mohd Gafoor Dar, Sardar Kulwant Singh, Sardar Amreek Singh, Yoginder Paul, Ganesh Khajuria, Molvi Nazir Ahamed, Rajinder Kumar, Movli Muneer Ahamed, Sat Paul Singh, Shaihed Hussain Raju Kumar and Darshan Singh asked the employees to remain united and participate in the agitation from Jun e 13-16 under the leader ship of Mohd Khursheed Alam, Abdul Qayoom Wani and Mohd Gafoor Dar and others.
They informed that in Jammu city the employees after observing Tala Band Hartal on 16th of June will assemble in front of Divisional Commissioner Office Panama Chowk Jammu to hold a protest rally for solution of the burning demands including Regularization Policy for the daily rated workers, casual labours, and need base workers engaged after 1994, Removal of Pay anomaly of clerical cader pre-revised 6500-10500 and ICDS Supervisors, enhancement of Retirement age 58 to 60 and budgetary support for Public Sector.
Meanwhile 20 members JCC team headed by Senior leader Mohd Gafoor Dar, Kulwant Singh, Ganesh Khajuria, Darshan Singh and Rajinder Kumar visited all the government offices of Jammu city and addressed meetings where employees fully endorsed the four days JCC programme and assured full participation in the programme. Yet in another media conference Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh All department Clerical Staff Association, said as Government has miserably failed to implement its agreements/commitments to remove the pay anomalies of clerical cadre and exemption of secretariat training exam bar and thus the apex body has decided to go on 'pen down strike' called by JCC.Speakers said despite agreement agreed by the state government the demands of employees have not been conceded with and there is great resentment among the clerical cadre as the Government has once again back tracked.
They decided to support JCC's call in protest of their legitimate demands as the Government has fails to implement its agreement made with the association for removal of Pay Anomalies of Clerical Cadre. They also called upon the clerical cadre to gear up and be ready for decisive struggle.
Among those present in the press conference included Anil Mehta, Chairman, Ravi Singh Bhau, President, Sukhbir Singh General Secretary Ravi Kumar Sr. Vice President, Bashir Malik, Manohar Singh, Ravi Razdan, C.L.Koul, Brijesh Mehta, Ravinder Singh, J.R. Saar, Vishaw Bandhu , Gulam Mohd Saber, Anil Sharma, Onkar Sharma and Raj Kumar Verma.
