| Tehsildar conducts surprise market checking | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KISHTWAR, June 9: Market checking squad led by Tehsildar, Kishtwar Indeer Jeet Singh Parihar today conducted surprise checking of shops, vegetable vendors, tea stalls at Bus Stand Kishtwar and its adjoining areas and imposed fine on them for violating food safety norms. During checking, squad destro-yed rotten food items on spot and also checked rate list of various food items as there are reports that the shopkeepers charge extra money from the customers. Tehsildar advice the shopkeepers to maintain cleanness in and around their shop beside to sell healthy and good hygienic food items to the people. Tehsil-dar was accompanied by Food and Quality Control officer, Executive Officer Municipal Kisht-war, officials of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution department and police.
