| Army conducts 'Run for fun' competition for children | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jun 9: In order to inculcate the competitive spirit as also spreading awareness about physical fitness among children, a `Run for Fun` competition was organised for the students of the Govt Higher Secondary School Saaj, by a Rashtriya Rifles (RR) Battalion under the aegis of Romeo Force today.
Official spokesperson said that a large number of students participated enthusiastically in the Run for Fun. Besides children the locals and eminent citizens also marked their presence on the occasion and encouraged the participants. Prizes were distributed to the students who secured the first three positions.
This was followed by distribution of sweets and gifts to all participants, to recognise and encourage their effort. Lal Hussain, the Principal Govt Higher Secondary School, Saaj appreciated the endeavour of the Army's thoughtfulness, for having taken the effort to conduct such an event in their school to explore the latent talent of children.
