| Samba Police recovered abducted girl, abductors held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SAMBA, Jun 9: Samba Police succeeded in recovering the abducted girl from New Delhi and also arrest of her abductor, police said.
Police said that the abductor of the girl has been identified as Vijay Kumar s/o Ludhar Mani r/o Ratwana, Ratanpur Surara Ghagwal, Samba.
Police said that Samba Police succeeded in recovering the kidnapped girl Sarishta Devi (Name changed) r/o Nonath Ghagwal from Delhi in Case FIR No. 39/2012 u/s 366/109 RPC registered at Police Station Ghagwal.
Police spokesperson however added that the family did not report the matter to Police in time and wasted 03 to 04 months to recover the girl on their own and then lodged a missing report in Police Station Ghagwal on 09.02.2012.
"A formal kidnapping case therefore was registered and investigation taken up directly by Israr Khan IPS, SSP Samba who formulated a proper plan in locating and nabbing the accused, police spokesperson said further adding, "accused Vijay Kumar committed a mistake by using one particular telephone booth to make the call and Police succeeded in identifying the telephone booth and immediately rushed a party to Delhi to keep a vigil on the said telephone booth and it was June 7, when the accused arrived at the booth to make a call and the STD booth owner gave a signal to the Police which took the accused in custody."
Police said upon his interrogation, Police reached the rented room at Parayawaran Complex, Saket New Delhi and recovered the girl. "Abducted girl has been medically examined in Samba and shall be produced before the competent Court tomorrow to record her statements, police added.
