YAIKS intensifies agitation as activists tonsure heads
6/10/2012 11:06:11 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

SRINAGAR, June 10: Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) which has been on a protest dharna since June 5th in the Pratab Park, here demanding implementation of the Prime Minister's Employment package for the Kashmiri migrant unemployed youth has intensified its struggle with a large number of KP youth tonsuring their heads.
The YAIKS has not only decided to intensify its struggle by continuing the demonstration day and night from today but will not hesitate in taking extreme step for implementation of employment package. ``We will continue agitation till the Government. issues appointment orders with regard to filling up of pending 1500 posts and remaining 3000 posts under State sponsorship under PMs Employment package from the list already lying with the recruitment agency.
R. K. Bhat President YAIKS and Member Apex Advisory Committee has strongly taken exception to the silence maintained by the Government. in this regard. He said Government. is making tall claims for the return of Kashmiri Pandits, but they have failed to address their burring issues.
The State Government is not accepting the PMs directions. It shows that the Government is not serious for migrants' return. He termed the Government's continuous silence on the issue a criminal act as it is not concerned for the survival of the community. ``We will be forced to go upto any extent and if any untoward happens and the Government will be responsible for that'' he added.
He said that the despite the assurance given by the Government. bureaucratic lobby is totally against the community that is why they have disowned the Cabinet decision approved by Chief Minister. This shows the discrimination of the administration towards Kashmiri Pandits leading an exiled life for last 22 years. The employment package should have been discussed earlier with the community so that this heeling touch would reach to every registered migrant.
``We appeal to the Chief Minister for his personal intervention implementation of package as the community has lost its faith in Government''. To restore this faith the Government should settle the problems of the community.
Others who spoke on the occasion include Sunil Koul Vice President, Manoj Handoo General Secretary, Ajay Safaya Jt. Secreatry and Sandeep Bhat , Sanjay Pandita, Sunil Koul, and Anil Munshi.
