AUYCD demands audit of financial bungling in Bhaderwah campus | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 10: Association of Unemployed Youth from Chenab Division (AUYCD) held a meeting today at Bhaderwah under the leadership of Asif Iqbal Mir wherein large number of youth of Bhaderwah participated. Asif informed the youth that some key elements in Jammu University administration are trying to keep Bhaderwah campus of Jammu University non-functional by always appointing non-local Rector for the campus. He said that as widely reported in media the three member inquiry committee report has recommended scrutiny of purchases worth Rs 3 crore made during the rectorship of Prof I A Hamal. Now another outsider, Prof M A Malik from Kashmir has been appointed as Rector of Bhaderwah Campus thereby giving wrong impression to the locals of Bhaderwah as he hardly stays in campus. He said the local people have lost the trust in outsiders and demand a local as rector. There are many intelligent and dynamic professors in Jammu University who belong to Bhaderwah and have capacity to develop Bhaderwah Campus as one of the highest and transparent centre of learning in the state. |
