JKP wrestler Benia lifts Reasi Trintha dangal title | | | Early times report reasi, June 10 : Wrestler Benia of Jammu and Kashmir Police clinched the 7th Annual Trintha Kesari dangal title beating Mohd. Dilshad of Mallarkotla in Punjab in the main bout that took place at Trintha in district Reasi. Dangal was organized by Trintha Dangal Committee in association with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association. Benia was awarded handsome cash prize of Rs 8,500 while runners-up Mohd Dilshad got Rs 6,500. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Reasi, Tara Singh was chief guest on the occasion who distributed cash prizes among the winners. President of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma presided while DySP, Reasi, Jagdev Singh Salathia, Naib Tehsildar Katra, Sher Singh, SHO JS Jambal, and advocate, Padam Dev Singh were guests of honor. In all, 38 bouts were played in this Vishal Dangal between local and those from outside the state. Second main bout went to Mohd. Rafiq of Ludhiana, who beat Deepa of Khanna in Punjab. Kamaljot of Khanna beat wrestler Sukha of Rajasthan for the third main bout while fourth bout was clinched by Bobari of Jammu defeating wrestler Nawaz Ali of Patiala. Fifth bout was won by Murad Ali of Domana in Jammu beating Munna of Khanna. Member of organizer committee and those technical officials who helped in smooth conduct of this dangal were Shabir Ahmed Magray, Gain Chand, Onkar Singh, Madan Lal, Balwan Singh, Vrinder Kumar, Raju, Sahil Ahmed Magray, Capt. Lehar Singh (Retd.), Mohd. Freed, Master Ram Krishan and Murli Dhar. Other Results: Javed Khan of Nargoda of Bajrangi Akhara Jammu beat Kartar Singh of Narkote Pawan Kumar of Kathar beat Vir Singh of J&K Police of Reasi, Mohd. Akram beat Hossiar Singh of Mahore, Pralad Singh of Kalakote beat Jaswant of Rajasthan, Nawaj Ali of Patiala beat Anand of Akhara Master Chandgi Ram Delhi, Asaf of Bajrangi Akhara Jammu beat saty-anam of Rajasthan, Pritam Singh of Mahore beat Mohd. Akram of Jammu Amir khan of Nargoda beat Tej Singh of Pansa and Amjad Ali of Patiala beat Vir Singh Reasi.
