| Two J&K boxers in final of NZ meet | | | Early times report
JAMMU, June 10 : After a long time, two state boxers, including a woman, have made it to the final of the ongoing 7th Senior North Zone Boxing Championship at Shimla in Himachal Pradesh. As per the reports reaching here, Pardeep Sharma defeated Saroj Kumar of Himachal Pradesh in 41-49 kg weight category. Now, Pardeep shall take on Punjab boxer for the gold medal.
Similarly, in women section, Navleen Kour outplayed Nitu of Punjab to reach the final. In the final, to be played late this evening, Nitu shall face Haryana boxer. "It was after a long time that two state boxers qualified for the final at the national level. We are hopeful of at least a gold medal from these promising boxers," general secretary of the J&K Amateur Boxing Association, Dr Nirmolak Singh, who is accompanying the team, told .
