| Bhalessa Club enters semis of Gufran T20 | | | Early times report
doda, June 10 : Bhalessa Cricket Club (BCC) today reached the semifinals stages of the All India 8th Gufran Memorial T-20 Cricket Championship outplaying Gujarat Cricket Club (GCC) by 32 runs in the quarterfinals played at Sports Stadium, here.
Earlier after winning the toss and decided to bat first, Bhalessa set a target of 183 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Arshad played fine innings of 71 runs off just 39 deliveries with the help of four sixes and eight boundaries while Yasir Rather contributed 28.From GCC, Junaid and Ismail took three and two wickets respectively.
In reply, Gujarat Cricket Club (GCC) could not chase the target and the whole side bowled out for 150 runs in 19.2 overs. Imran Pathan and Ikram were main contributors to the total with 56 and 33 runs in their respective accounts. Mudassir and Mubashhir shared three wickets each from Bhalessa Club.
For his superb knock of 71 runs, Arshad was obvious choice for the man of the match. He was presented the trophy and cash prize by special guest, Superintendent of Police (SP) Doda, Mohammad Arif Rishu. Today's quarterfinal match was officiated by Sanjay Singh and Subhash Mathur as umpires while Shahid Bashir Pampori was scorer.
