Need to decentralise powers at Panchayat level: Shahnawaz

BHADERWAH, June 10: Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC) president Shahnawaz Choudhary was given grand reception at Gatti Mohr, Thuba, Chinta, Jai and various other places in Bhaderwah. Shahnawaz Choudhary, who is on Jan Chetna Yatra across the State was accompanied by Pankaj Basotra, Lok Sabha President Udhampur-Doda constituency and Nadeem Sharief Niaz, president Bhaderwah Assembly segment. While addressing the gatherings at various places, Shahnawaz Choudhary said that J&K Government should implement 73rd and 74th amendments to the state constitution as there is urgent need to decentralise powers at Panchayat level. Interacting with the Congress delegates, Choudhary was apprised about the various problems being faced by Bhaderwah people. Shahnawaz Chou dhary gave a patient hearing to the general public and youth Congress delegates and assured them that Youth Congress team will always take up the problems of Bhaderwah Constituency with the higher authorities. In Chinta, the youth leader also joined the on going Cricket tournament being played among 44 rural areas' teams. On the occasion the youth Congress leaders interacted with the players and heard their problems and the issues of lack of sports facilities in the rural areas inspite of having vast pool of talent.
Addressing a gathering at Jai, Shahnawaz Choudhary said that the various national programmes including MNREGA, Rajiv Gandhi Vidhyut Yojna , National Rural Health Mission, Indira Gandhi Aawas Yojna and various other schemes started by Congress led UPA Government are not being implemented properly. Choudhary said that Youth Congress will monitor all these programmes and if not implemented properly it will take up the matter with State and Central governments. Speaking on the occasion, Nadeem Sharief Niaz said that Youth Congress Bhaderwah will fight against corruption and assured general public that all their issues will be addressed as soon as possible.
