| SIEF organizes debate on illegal mining at river Ravi Early Times Report | | | KATHUA, June 10: SIEF organized debate on illegal mining at Ravi River Kathua on the eve of World Environment Week Activist of Speak India Environmental Foundation (SIEF) organized a debate on 'Illegal Mining at Ravi River' Kathua on the eve of World Environment week in the premises of the Speak India Evening School, Kathua.
In this programme social activists, environmentalists, educationists, heads of several NGOs, students, poets of Kathua participated.
Sushil Kumar was the chief guest of the programme wherein various speakers including poets said that illegal mining is the great threat to the environments and its the duty of the government and as well as district administration to stop the illegal mining.
Various poets called upon the general masses to aware themselves of the effects of the illegal mining,
Rohit Sharma, Coordinator SIEF said that while the whole world is celebrating the world environment day, the state government is making a mockery of the occasion as it has failed to stop illegal mining at river Ravi. |
