RIFADS organises workshop for IAS aspirants

Jammu, June10: RG Institute for Future Administrators and Development Studies (RIFADS) organised a day long workshop for IAS aspirants in which hundreds of students from state participated. Screening test for admission in coaching classes and membership for round-the-clock library was also held. A number of IAS/IPS/IFS/KAS officers shared their experiences and delivered lectures on various aspects of examination for encouraging students of Jammu and Kashmir to excel in competitive examinations at national level. Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary explained the roadmap of initiative started by civil servants for providing free guidance and services to students, enabling them to succeed in competitive examinations as well as grooming the young talented students of state. He further dwelled on strategies being adopted by the RIFADS, established by CEDS Foundation and Aaryan Foundation. Sujit Kumar gave a PowerPoint presentation on changing pattern of IAS examination and requirements for excelling at national level for securing berth in elite civil services of country. Dr V S Senthil Kumar, Shailendera Mishra delivered motivational lectures and Qummer ul Zamaan explained requirements of Aptitude Test as well as strategies to crack KAS examination. Manjit Kaur dwelled on, modalities of guidance, various courses being run by RIFADS and delivered vote of thanks. Management for workshop was conducted by Vikram Singh, Aarif Latief and Javed Iqbal whileas proceedings were coordinated by Mohammad Sayeed.
Aspirants asked questions on wide ranging aspects of civil services examinations which were addressed by the speakers. A number of candidates from Kashmir and Ladakh region also reached for screening and admission test. Students appreciated the efforts of civil servants for taking this initiative to guide them personally. It was informed that subject specific workshops will he held every week and formal classes for General Studies are also being started.
Dr Ranjeet Singh Kotwal, Dr Abdul Khabir, Shahanawaz Ahmed, Farooq Qaiser and Diksha Bamba were among other panellists for group discussion and screening.
