2 held for assaulting lawyer at Samba | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 11: Two property dealers were today apprehended and booked by police under relevant sections of law for allegedly assaulting a lawyer in the premises of Samba court, about 45 km from here. Police said advocate was going to the court to appear in a case when he was allegedly intercepted by Ravi and Suram Singh, both residents of Jammu, and assaulted. However, before they could flee the spot, they were overpowered by other lawyers and later handed over to police. Police had booked the accused under section 307 of RPC. The Samba lawyers have demanded police protection within the court premises. |
