He regretted that such accidents have become a routine affair but no concrete action has been taken so far by the government to save precious human lives. Senior Congress leader also demanded to take effective steps in checking frequent accidents adding that the government should direct traffic police to keep a strict check on overloading and plying of old model buses due to which road mishaps have become a routine affair. He demanded enuiry into the cause of accident and urged the government to fix responsibility for the mishap on the negligent traffic police officials. It is worthwhile to mention here that five persons were killed and 20 others sustained injuries, 15 of them seriously when a bus they were travelling in rolled down at Painthal near Katra in Reasi district. The ill-fated vehicle was on its way from Udhampur to Katra when it met with accident due to the negligence of driver as well as overloading and poor road condition.
