Oriental Academy students leave for Dharamshalla trekking

EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 11: The second batch of 45 students and three teachers of Oriental Academy Higher Secondary School, here today left for Chamunda to participate in the Dharamshalla Trekking Programme, organized by Tawi Trekkers J&K. The group, which included 26 girls, was flagged off by president Dogri Sanstha, Prof Lalit Magotra. Sonam Sidharth and Akshay Sadhotra are the group leaders. Speaking to the young adventurers, Prof. Magotra complimented Tawi Trekkers for its role in promoting trekking and rock climbing amongst the school children. He also dwelt at length on the educative value of adventure sports.
Meanwhile the first group of trekkers of St. Xavier Convent Hr. Secondary School, Barnai, Jammu has already returned to Jammu after a thrilling experience. Prominent among others present on the occasion included the Principal of the school, Ved Chauhan, secretary, Tawi Trekkers J&K, Ram Khajuria and Vivek Chauhan.
