| PHE employees weird over illusory number of daily wagers | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, June 11: Taking exceptions of higher number of daily wagers than the actual on ground level, the PHE Daily wagers ITI Diploma Holders (Electricians and Plumbers) have urged the PHE department for rational and justified disbursement of the salaries among them in the office of PHE at Kathua and a delegation called on XEN and CPO Kathua for justification of the actual number of daily wagers. To express resentment over the prejudiced approach of high officials of the PHE department at Kathua in disbursement of the salaries of ITI diploma holders daily wagers in the department, a delegation of PHE Kathua workers called on XEN and CPO Kathua. The deputation led by Chandan Singh told the media persons that the Office of the Chief Engineer of PHE has released the salaries of 197 daily wagers (65 of civil and 132 of mechanical division) up to March 2012 but the office of the XEN PHE Kathua has disbursed this salaries among 253 daily wagers which has caused a confusion within employees fraternity about the actual number of employees working as daily wagers. Speakers demanded the investigation of the salary disbursement among the 253 daily wagers while as per records only 197 daily wagers are recorded in the office of the chief Engineer PHE. The delegation comprising Manohar Singh, Prem Singh, Harish Kumar, Manjit Singh, Rajinder Kumar, Varinder Singh and Ashwani Kumar also raised different issues of PHE employees during the meeting. |
