Govt trying to befool masses: PDP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
REASI, June 12: Lambasting Omar Abdullah led coalition regime for its failure to solve problems of the common masses, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today said that this regime has failed to bring transparency and accountability in the governance.Addressing convention of party workers at Arnas and Reasi, senior PDP leader Sartaj Madni regretted that instead of addressing woes of the common people this regime was more particular about befooling the people by one or other way. Calling upon the party workers to educate the people about the misdeeds of this regime, he said that Government was neck deep in corruption from top to bottom and leaders of the ruling party have been brazenly indulged in accumulating huge wealth by misusing their position. Exhorting the party workers to expose misdeeds of this regime, general secretary of the party Thakur Balbir Singh regretted that National Conference has not learnt any lessons from its past mistake. Daman Bhasin, senior leader of the party said people are fed up with the other parties and they were anxiously looking for an opportunity to give PDP a chance. During the public meeting at Reasi Rattan Lal along with large number of his supporters joined PDP. Imtiyaz Shan, Abdul Ahad Wani, Partap Sharma, Rattan Lal, Bodh Raj Baigra, Abdul Majid, Naseem Akther, Gulzar Bibi, Bansi Lal Sharma, Chander Mohan Singh, Mohammad Yosuf Mugal, Sita Ram (retd tehsildar) Gurjeet Singh and others also spoke on the occasion. |
