AKMRH demands hike in cash relief | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 12: The activists of All Kashmiri migrant relief holders (AKMRH) who are on dharna for the last two months and fast unto death for the last 18 days at Jagti Township have urged upon the state government to solve the genuine problems of Kashmiri migrants at an earliest. Addressing the protestors, Ajay Kumar Bhat said, if the demands are not met upto June 20, 2012 activists will be compelled to take extreme steps and the responsibility will lie on Government. He said day by day index of price hike of essential items is touching new heights and as such enhancement in cash relief @ Rs 120 per head per day he sanctioned. He said Kashmiri migrants are livening in a measurable condition and the state Government has not taken any steps to solve the problems of migrants. He further said it has come to notice that there are 41% of Kashmiri Pandits who get relief. He demanded enquiry he held to know who are the persons who get the relief. He said earlier Revenue Minister Raman Bhalla and PHE Minister Taj Mohi-din assured that problems will be solved soon, but till date no action has taken place.
