| Suri takes over as GM (O&M) POWERGRID, NRTS-II | | | Early Times Report
Jammu , June 12 : K R Suri has taken over the charge of General Manager (O&M) Northern Region Transmission System -II of POWERGRID.
Suri shall be responsible for Operation and Maintenance of Transmission system in the states of J&K, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and UT Chandigarh.
Suri is a Graduate Electrical Engineer from MBM Engineering College, Jodhpur, a competent professional with over 32 years of rich experience in Project Management, Execution, Construction, Operations & Maintenance in Power Sector.
He has also played a vital role in diversification of POWERGRID into Telecom.
He is considered as an authority in execution of Construction Projects, Telecom and O &M activities in Power Sector. K R Suri has served in NTPC before joining POWERGRID.
Suri is also looking after the prestigious Punjab Consultancy Project worth Rs 800 crore associated with Talwandi Sabo project of Punjab under which four new Sub-Stations namely 400/220kV Dhuri , Muktsar, Nakador & Makhu alongwith Bay extensions at Moga and Amritsar are being established. |
