Jammu, June 12: Accusing US for double standards, Moulana Syed Athar Dehlavi, Chairman Anjuman Minhaz-e-Rasool, said when US could attack the Taliban in Waziristan and other areas of Pakistan and why does not it cooperate with India in attacking terrorist camps operating in Pak occupied Kashmir.
Talking to reporters here today after visiting LoC areas in border districts of Poonch and Rajouri, Moulana said India should not be dependent on any other nation but attack terrorist camps in PoK on its own.
He said Pakistan has been fully exposed and people in J&K now realize its game plan and there are no takers for Pak agents in J&K in general and areas on LoC in particular. "These people want development, peace and prosperity and not violence which destroyed the state completely and hampered the development" he added. He said people living along LoC need special attention and a special share from the central package to J&K be given to these areas for their development.
Moulana Dehlavi said since the implementation of MGNREGA, the people of area have devoted themselves to the development of the state as under the act they got the employment and did not pay any heed to anti social elements.
Taking Pakistan to task for aiding and abetting terrorism on its soil, Moulana said that LeT supremo Syed Hafiz should be hanged if Pakistan is really interested in wiping out terrorism. "When it could hang a popular political leader like Z.A.Bhuto why could not it hang the dreaded terrorists like Hafiz" he added. He also demanded a white paper on LAC with China in view of the reports that China had violated LAC in different areas.
Moulana also demanded implementation of Ansari working group report saying people have demanded the same during his interaction with them at different places. He also strongly advocated for setting up of Trans Islamic university in Kashmir to fulfill the aspirations of the people of valley.
He said the Kashmir dispute is over as the people of state have enmass taken part in Assembly and Panchyat elections. He also welcomed the announcement of Hurriyat leadership to contest the 2014 elections saying it is a healthy sign and one must appreciate it.
