| SHO Katra transferred on complaint basis | | | early times report
Jammu, June 12: SHO Katra Pardeep Gupta was transferred to District Police Line, Reasi by SSP Reasi Raghuvir Singh, sources said adding that the transfer took place following some complaints against him.
The transfer was ordered following number of complaints received by SSP. In his place Inspector Ashok Sharma was posted as SHO Katra.
SSP was receiving complaints about SHO Katra Pardeep Gupta and recently it is alleged that no action is being taken by him on the complaint about the overcharging by auto rickshaws who are charging whopping amount of Rs 800 from the pilgrims.
Later, around 100 auto rickshaws were seized by SDPO Katra Rajinder Katoch. It is also alleged that during Pardeep Gupta's tenure the banned illicit liquor and meat was reportedly sold in holy town while the illegal booking at railway ticketing counter through Niharika Bhawan was on rampant. Based on the complaint, the SHO was transferred. Complaints against the SHO Gupta included that he broke window panes of luxurious car Verito (JK14C/1803) of no fault of the owner. |
