Railway job racket busted, Ex Jt Dir Planning Deptt among 6 held | | | early times report Jammu, June 12: Bishnah police successfully busted a fake railway recruitment racket and arrested six persons including kingpin who happens to be a former Joint Director of Planning Department. Meanwhile, manhunt to nab two members of racket from valley is on, police sources added. The arrested persons have been identified as Bihari Lal son of Soni Ram, Ex Joint Director Planning Department resident of village Babli Samba, Pushpinder Singh son of Raj Kumar of Krishna Nagar, Gopal Dass son of Shiv Ram of Mandaal, Mohinder Kumar son of Kaka Ram of Bishnah and Som Raj of village Sanorah,Gagwal, police said. Police also said that the nexus has spread its tentacles in valley also as two of the valley based accomplices of the racket have been identified as Nazir Ahmed and Mushaq Ahmed. Manhunt is on to arrest them. Police sources said that racketeers through a fake appointment order managed to dupe a large number of job-seekers from Jammu district. SDPO, R S Pura Dewakar Singh said, "Around 32 complainants from Bishnah and its surrounding were received by Bishnah police in this connection and police had taken cognizance in the matter." SDPO, Singh said that the nexus came to limelight when SHO Bishnah Jaipal Sharma received complaint from one Tarsem Singh son of Hans Raj of Chatriyaan alleging that one Mukesh Singh son of Karan Singh of Nagrota provided him a fake appointment letter of railway clerk in lieu of Rs 2 lakhs. "The complainant added he came to know that he has been duped of his money when he went to the Northern Railway Authorities with the appointment letter given to him and was told the appointment letter is fake, police official added . "The matter was taken to seniors and acting on the complaint, SSP Jammu Prabhat Singh constituted a team which conducted a series of raids on the disclosure of the Mukesh who was arrested by police earlier and arrested four more persons including a kingpin, police said. Police said that a case under sections 467,420,468 and 471 RPC stands registered against them. "A number of other blank fake appointment letters for various categories were recovered from their possession, police official said further adding that the accused have been put on sustained interrogation and more arrests are expected after they spill beans.
