| CJM grants remand of chief engineer, others in trap case | | | JAMMU, June 13 ( JNF) : Chief judicial magistrate (CJM) Jatinder Singh Jamwal today granted 3-day remand of chief engineer (mechanical) Zahoor Hussain Zargar, AEE (mechanical) Ranjan Kumar Langar, MD of M/s CAS India Pvt Ltd, Gurgaon, Hanho Yoon alias Calvin Yoon of South Korea and his DGM Anil Dhar who were yesterday caught red handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 1.80 lakh.
The court also directed that the accused be subjected to medical examination under rules.
The court observed that the accused appeared to be involved in a case registered against them under sections 161 and 165 of RPC read with section 120-B and under section 5(2) of prevention of corruption act read with section 5(1) (d) of the act.
With these observations, the court remanded them to police custody up to June 15, 2012. |
