| Revision of Eletricity consumption Load | | | Recently the Electricity Department has issued a notification to th consumers that they should revise their house-hold and commercial laod uoto 7th July, 2012. I and so many friensd of mine has discussed the performa issued by the electricity Department and are confused to get it filld up. For example, the load for the AC 1.5 ton is kept 2000 watts and also the same has been kept for the Giyser i.e.2000 watts. Now We are confused how the two loads can be filled up simultaneously when one runs in Summer and the other equipment in winter. In our view this load should be clubbed for the whole year runnig alternatively at different seasons in the year.
Moreover,in case of lights, we donot put on all the lights at the same time rather we put on the light according to the man /woman sitting in one room and all the consumers are well aware in reducing the load running waste. We propose to get the load filled up by the Electricity Department taking in view that every house in the organised colonies and also in the old city has at least one Ac, One Gyser , One Washing machine, one pumpset and few others coolers an in this way every house has a load of 6 Kwatts and what is the need of elctricity charges being paid on the basis of Electrolnic meters. Anonter proposal is to set the load on the basis of 7-marla,12-marla and one Kanal basis which gives an avid picture of load in the houses raised on such plots. Let the practice begins with the personnel serving in the Electric Department first. We hope in this way the department can work out the load but it is not like so. The consumers are using the electricity in a spend thrift manner.Juggi wala consumers be allowed only plastic wires and their general load will be one light,one fan,sometimmes on cooler and one heater thus the laod will come to over 2-Kwatts. Can the Transforner of 250 Kwatts is able to suply the power to a section of colony load calculated on the given pattern? No it will fail in a single way. One more suggestion that the adepoertment persons should actuall calculate the laod with Lodo-meter in the late evenings in different colonies in houses raised on 7,12 marlas and one,two Kanals and then averaging themnselves the load requirement. Final solution is to privatise the supply systems immediately.
