Bankers review meeting held

KATHUA, June 14 : To review the flow of credit under ACP 2011-12, performance of banks in key areas relating to deposits, advances under priority sector lending for the quarter ended March 2012 and review Government sponsored programmes, the Lead Bank Office SBI Kathua organised DLRC/DCC meeting of bankers and Heads of Government Departments of Kathua district at DC office here today.The meeting was chaired by District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kathua Zahida Parveen Khan and convened by LDM, SBI, Kathua V K Wali.
Chairman Zahida Parveen Khan, District Development Commissioner had a thread bare review of SGSY / JKSES /SC-ST-OBC / KVIB / KVIC / DIC / SJSRY / Handloom / Handicraft / KCC and laid special emphasis on credit linkage of borrower under these schemes.
She emphasized upon the banks to expedite cases for linkage under various schemes and achieve the allocated targets for 2012-13. She impressed upon the banks and line departments, to achieve greater coordination in their working, so as to achieve the desired results.LDM, Kathua while presenting the Annual Action Plan for the year 2011-12, informed the house that the priority sector target are ` 190.25 crores, the banks have achieved ` 197.23 crores which is 103 % of the target. Under the Non-priority sector, achievement stood at ` 165.53 crores. The deposit in the district stood at`2025 crores and advance ` 697 crores, thus the CD ratio of the district is 34.43%.The ACP for the year 2012-13, stood at ` 484.15 crore, of which, priority sector ` 280.73 crore and non-priority was 203.42 crore, was also approved in the meeting.
