| JMC confiscates consignment of polythene | | | Early Times Report
Jammu , June 14 : Under instructions from K.L. Khajuria Commissioner Municipal Corporation Jammu, the Enforcement Wing of Jammu Municipal Corporation led by Chief Enforcement Officer conducted a drive in order to implement the ban imposed by State Government on the use of Polythene Carry bags and inspected the Godown of M/s Suman and Sons situated at Bakshi Nagar, Jammu. During the inspection the team seized a consignment of polythene carry bags concealed in 08 bags weighing about 160 Kgs which were likely to be dispatched for sale in different parts of City. The said drive has been conducted with the help and active co-operation of Police Force from Police Station Bakshi Nagar and District Police Lines, Jammu.
The Jammu Municipal Corporation once again appeals to the general public to avoid the use of polythene carry bags and ask the traders communities to adopt alternate arrangements for the sale of their commodities. |
