Kathua surpasses priority sector targets for ACP 2011-12

KATHUA, June 14 : The Kathua district has achieved whooping one hundred and three percent targets under the priority sector for Annual Credit Plan (ACP) 2011-12.
Against the set target of Rs 190.25 crores, the banks achieved Rs 197.23 crores under priority sector, while under non-priority sector, lending was registered at Rs 165.53 crores.
The information was given at DLRC cum DCC meeting convened to review the flow of credit under Annual Credit Plan (ACP) 2011-12, and discuss the ACP for the year 2012-2013, with District Development Commissioner, Zahida Parveen Khan in the chair.
The meeting also approved Rs 484.15 crore Annual Credit Plan(ACP) for the year 2012-13, including Rs 280.73 crore under priority sector and Rs 203.42 crore under non-priority sector.Among others Ajay Jamwal, ADDC, Kathua, Manoj Kapur, CPO, Kathua, Natasha Kalsotra, Deputy Director, Employment, Shashi Kumar, LDO RBI, Aman Kalsotra, AGM(DD), NABARD were attended the meeting. Chairman DKRC and District Development Commissioner took a threadbare review of SGSY ,JKSES, SC-ST-OBC ,KVIB ,KVIC ,DIC ,SJSRY , Handloom , Handicraft ,KCC etc. with special emphasis on credit linkage of borrower under these schemes.
She emphasized upon the banks to expedite cases for linkage under various schemes and achieve the set targets for 2012-13. She impressed upon the banks and line departments to maintain better coordination in their working, so as to achieve the desired results.LDM, Kathua while presenting the Annual Action Plan for the year 2011-12, informed the house that the deposits in the district were recorded at Rs 2025 crores and advance at Rs 697 crores that accounts to a Credit -Deposit ratio of 34.43%.
