MLA lodges complaint against ICDS office | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, June 15 : MLA Langate Engineer Rasheed has expressed deep sorrow and anguish over alleged feeding of substandard food to children at Anganwari Centre Hajin of Langate constituency. He lodged police complaint against the ICDS office Langate and announced free treatment for the affected children. Six children had fallen sick after allegedly by consuming unhygienic food who have been admitted in NTPHC Kralgund Langate. Immediately after learning about the sad incident, Rasheed rushed to the NTPHC Kralgund and enquired about the health of the sick children. He announced that all the expenses for the treatment of children will be paid by Joint Effort Trust, the welfare organisation headed by the MLA Langate. He asked the doctors at the hospital to provide all medical facilities to the sick children and ensure their speedy recovery. Rasheed visited the families of the children and assured punishment to the guilty. Later MLA lodged complaint in the Police Station Kralgund against officers of the ICDS Langate and demanded arrest of all those responsible for the incident. "I will not allow unscrupulous elements in the ICDS department to play with the lives of the innocent children; those responsible for this shameful episode will be handed over to court of law," Rasheed said. |
