| BJP launches membership | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 15 : Bhartiya Janata Party today launched a membership drive in this winter capital of the state. The drive was formally launched by the BJP National Executive Member and J&K State chief spokesperson, Dr Jitendra Singh as a part of the countrywide BJP's membership drive beginning from tomorrow. "The present membership drive assumes special significance because people across the country were fed up of corruption and mis-governance under Congress led UPA rule and they were craving for return of NDA rule under BJP," Dr Singh said. He said this imposes huge responsibility on the BJP to take up the challenge and prepare itself for the expected role after Election 2014, adding, "the present membership drive will enlarge party's mass base and also provide an opportunity for a direct contact with remotest sections of people". |
