PYC organised Panchayat Interaction session at Vijayur

Vijaypur, June 15: The Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC) under its current Panchayat Chalo Abhiyan organised an interaction session with the elected panchayat members of vijaypur assembly segment here today.Senior Congress leader and former Minster Manjeet Singh chaired the session, in which a large number of panches and sarpanches participated. Pranav Shagotra was the chief guest on the occasion and Dr Abdul Rashid Choudhary former state president NSUI was the guest of honour on the occasion.The programme was coordinated by Paramjeet Singh Pamma, PYC elected president of Vijaypur assembly segment. The objective of the Panchayat Chalo Abhiyan 2012 programme is to create awareness among the elected members. Speaking on the occasion Pranav Shagotra said that youth congress will take up the issue of 73rd amendment with party high command in Delhi and would strive to get settled the local issues with the concerned authorities in the state. He also demanded that panchayat members must be given staff for making their offices functional. Former minister Manjeet Singh who chaired the session highlighted the role of panches and sarpanches as monitoring and delivering agency. He also criticized the few MLAs, who are not in favour of empowerment of panchayats.Dr Abdul Rashid Choudhary, Congress Leader and former NSUI state president in his address said that Panchayat members must play an important role in the monitoring of central schemes like MNERGA, IYA and SEA etc.Sham Lal Bhagat sarpanch Vijaypur, Natha Ram sarpanch Rangoor, Sukjinder singh sarpanch Dhamore, Raman Sharma sarpanch Purmandal, Brijpal Singh sarpanch Rajindpura, Ajit Singh Naib sarpanch Dhamore, Terith Ram Bhagat Naib Srapanch Swankha, Ram Murti Naib Srpanch Gudwal, Kisore Kumar Naib Srapch Rajinderpora, Sujjan Singh Naib Sarpanch Rari, Panch Mongara Ram, Panch Bagwan Dass, Panch Kanshi Ram, Panch Satpal, Panch Wazir Singh Jangi and Pacnh Ram Lal also were present on the occasion.
