| Army officer's wife defrauds exclusive showrooms in posh areas | | | early times report
Jammu, June 15 : When it comes to conning gullible people, there is no beating the fairer sex an in a bizarre incident an army officer's wife is reportedly on police's hit list following complaints of swindling owners of exclusive showrooms in posh localities like Gandhi Nagar and City Square Mall. Police has registered case in this regard at different police stations.
Police sources said that two different FIRs under section 420 RPC have been registered by Gandhi Nagar and Nowabad Police Stations where the said high profiled swindler has defrauded the gullible owners of showrooms. Meanwhile, sources said police has identified the lady and her husband who happens to be Army Major posted in Jammu.
According to police sources the swindlers had a unique modus oprandii, the swindler enters into the shop and after going a shopping spree she hands over a credit card for swapping and walks away on the call of her body guards leaving the card but without any balance with the owner.
Police said that today she walked into City Walk footwear show room with some gun men of army and after shopping she managed to slip from the showroom. As per complaint lodged by the owner of City Walk footwear, one armyman with weapon entered with her while the other person parked the army gypsy outside the showroom and after shopping slipped without giving payment of the foot wears.
"The same lady few days ago appeared in the readymade garments of big brand in City Square Maul there she also managed to slip after making shopping, police sources said further adding that a case has been registered in this regard and matter is being investigated.
